Jennifer W. Haddad

Ms. Haddad is a principal of the firm and a member of the Commercial Real Estate Group. Her practice encompasses commercial leasing and purchase and sale transactions, as well as real estate finance.


Ms. Haddad represents landlords, tenants, real estate developers, small business owners, and franchisees in the commercial real estate industry. Her experience in leasing includes drafting and negotiating leases from both a landlord and tenant perspective for a variety of uses including restaurant, retail, industrial/warehouse, office, and medical office. In addition to leasing, Ms. Haddad's practice extends to all aspects of the sale and acquisition of real property, from drafting and negotiating the applicable documentation, to reviewing due diligence and closing the transaction. She drafts easements, negotiates SNDAs and tenant estoppels, and reviews title encumbrances and surveys. Ms. Haddad also represents farm owners in the sale of their development rights. In the area of real estate finance, she spent years representing institutional lenders on commercial mortgage loan transactions, and she currently serves as local counsel for out-of-state financial institutions and law firms.

Education:

Jennifer is a graduate of Fairfield University (B.S., Mathematics, 1994) and the University of Connecticut School of Law (J.D., 1997), where she was a member of the Connecticut Law Review.

Ms. Haddad has lectured on the topic of commercial leasing and written several articles on leasing for industry publications.

Ms. Haddad is a member of the Connecticut Women’s Council (serving on its Program Committee). She is a long-standing member of the Connecticut Chapter of the Commercial Real Estate Women's Network (CREWCT) (currently serving on its Membership Committee) and is a past President and former National Delegate thereof. She is also a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, Real Property Section. She is a former member of the Board of Directors of Knight Hall School, West Hartford, CT (2008 – 2012) and the School Board of St. Thomas the Apostle School, West Hartford, CT (2004 – 2005).
